DESIGN PROJECT: A LARGE, SPACIOUS & FUNKY HOME WITH TEXTURE
.
LIVING ROOM
This home invites guests to slow down and unwind. It’s a unique room with a funky flair makes a lasting impression on anyone who drops in for a visit.
DINING ROOM
A grass cloth wallpaper, farmhouse dining table and upholstered dining chairs create a traditional setting that’s interrupted by the statement pendant. The bubble chandelier not only centers and grounds the dining table, but adds cool modern funk too.
Statement Dining Room Lighting
The dining room connects to the kitchen through a large, open wall with a breakfast bar peninsula.
KITCHEN
Cooking is one of the couple’s favorite shared hobbies so the kitchen underwent a sensational transformation. Walls were torn down to open up the space to the dining room and living room, and materials were carefully selected to ensure that the kitchen would be both stunning and functional.
Striking And Stylish White Kitchen Ideas
Soapstone and marble grace the counter tops, handsomely adorning newly-installed custom cabinetry, while Urban Electric pendant lights hang over the expansive island, lending both illumination and style to the work space.
Strikingly Stylish Kitchen Breakfast Bar Ideas
There’s also a breakfast nook with a hammered metal table and modern, leather dining chairs.
CLOAKROOM
A foxed mirror and rustic, hammered stone sink lend a seriously cool touch to this dark cloakroom space. We also love how the tap is wall-mounted through the mirror.
MASTER BEDROOM
Collectively, the design elements create an extraordinary haven. The master bathroom was taken down to the studs in order to create a serene environment.
It’s another sumptuously textured space, with a buttoned velvet upholstered headboard, an intricately carved bench upholstered in soft leather, and wood block side tables.
Hotel-inspired, the bedroom has it’s own lounging space too for watching TV. Something we would all love!
DRESSING ROOM
The dressing room is calm and simple, with his and hers nooks of built-in wardrobes.
MASTER BATHROOM
Custom alder wood French doors welcome you into the spa-inspired bathroom, featuring travertine floors that serve as a soothing base for more daring design elements.
Dark graphite marble complements the newly installed steel window frame and makes a statement on the counter tops and tub surround.
White hand-molded metro tile is accented by mosaic tiling on a smaller scale, and minimalist brass hardware and accessories are featured throughout, demonstrating how it’s often a well-edited space that makes the most lasting impression.
