Bernards Township

More commonly known as Basking Ridge the township consists of sections: Basking Ridge, Lyons, Liberty Corner, and West Millington.  The Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge and Lord Stirling Park are located here as well as a state-of-the-art YMCA and several charming parks.  Basking Ridge has some of the finest schools in the state and is surrounded by private schools: Pingry School, Far Hills Country Day School and nearby Gill St. Bernards. The Bridgewater Mall and Short Hills Mall are just a short drive away and many fine restaurants dot the area.   Homes range from private single-family to charming townhomes; many are located on the New Jersey National Golf Course located in "The Hills" section of the township.  

Pleasant Valley Park is the largest town-owned park with a 111-acre parcel featuring: baseball, softball, and soccer fields, tennis courts, paddle-ball courts, and an amphitheater for summer performances.  Pleasant Valley Pool is located here featuring a kiddie pool and play areas as well as an Olympic-sized pool (that my children used to practice for swim team events.

New construction still exists: the latest being located on Mine Brook Road- called Mine Brook Farm, a new eco-friendly sustainable-designed community with 12 homes in all to be built.  Features include walking paths, fish pond, clubhouse barn organic gardens, tennis courts, and acres of meadows.
