Martinsville

Martinsville is actually a somewhat small section of Bridgewater, with its own zip code.  Living in Martinsville can be expensive, with home prices among the more expensive in New Jersey.  It is a town of professionals, managers, sales and office workers as well as financial occupations, computer and math jobs as well as telecommuters.  The setting and lifestyles reflect "urban sophisticates" who are employed in professional occupations and are highly educated.

The school system is excellent and most own single-family homes make it a truly suburban community. Local public transit is available and may be an option to avoid driving (if necessary) and leave the car at home!  Martinsville is also somewhat ethnically-diverse, with a variety of people being represented.  It is one of the more educated communities in America- above the national average for college degrees or even advanced degrees compared to a national average across all communities.

Do not miss visiting and exploring all that this community offers: Washington Valley Park, Chimney Rock Park, Buttermilk Falls, Sunset Lake Community with a community of homes and a sandy beach to enjoy.  Non-powered boating sports are allowed on the lake. Membership required.  Also, enjoy the Hawk Watch at Chimney Rock Park.
