Morristown

Morristown holds a special place in our country's history and independence- and dates back to its importance to our founding in the early 1700's.  Today, it is considered a small- town feel with a big city dynamic.  Just over 22,000 people the community also includes Convent Station- home to College of Saint Elizabeth and the Convent train station.  Streets in Morristown are filled with chic boutiques, wonderful restaurants, and Irish Pub and the Mayo Performing Art Center located in the center of town. Just outside of town is the Morris Museum, also home to the performance Bickford Theatre and Fosterfields Living Historical Farm recreated from our Victorian days.   

Morristown National Historical Park is were General George Washington and his Continental Army spent a winter in Jockey Hollow- which gives this town its special connection to our country's freedom.

If sports are on your agenda Mennen Sports Arena hosts hockey while equestrian fans can enjoy Seaton Hackney Stables. The Frelinghuysen Arboretum is an educational center hosting several renowned floral events throughout the season.  

Schools are excellent and the Morristown-Beard School offers  private, coeducational college prep courses for the 6th - 12th grades. The town also serves its own Morristown Municipal Airport for small plane travel generally known as a "reliever" airport for the area.
