  Shongum Lake in Randolph

Did you know? that on a clear day you can see parts of the Manhattan skyline (30 miles east) from the higher elevations of the town? A mixture of half rural and half suburban, sections of the town are also known as Mount Freedom, Millbrook, Fernbrook, Coleman Hollow, Center Grove, Ironia, and Shongum Lake. The housing is also a wonderful mixture of Revolutionary-era homes, center hall Colonials, luxury, Victorians, estate properties, Arts & Crafts bungalows, condominiums, townhomes, ranch-style homes, contemporary and modern architectural styles.  Something for everyone!  The New Jersey Transit train station is minutes away in Morristown for Midtown Direct service to Penn Station.  Bus service can be taken into the City from nearby Dover or Rockaway.  Shopping is available all along the Rt. 10 corridor- or in nearby Morristown or the Rockaway Townsquare Mall.

Shongum Lake Property is a private homeowner's association made up of over 700 properties.  Members have the use of the beach (sandy) boating, swimming, a clubhouse, and many social events. Neighbors are warm and welcoming; and the lake community offers ice skating in winter, walking and jogging, and taking in the beautiful fall foliage in fall.

Excellent school systems make up the four elementary schools grades K-5; Randolph Middle serves grades 6-8, and Randolph High is excellent preparation for higher education.  The main campus for The County of Morris is located on over 200 acres and enrolls over 8500 students, having the highest graduation rate among community colleges in the state.  My favorite feature of this wonderful town is the Brundage Park Playhouse, active during the summer months- offering plays, workshops, and musical theater. Or sign-up for an e-newsletter from the Randolph YMCA for a complete guide to all the programs & activities happening at the "Y" and ask about their Membership Reciprocity Program- that will add more value to your membership at no extra cost!  You will be amazed!

A true "small-town feeling" in a grown-up sophisticated lifestyle.  Come and visit- or call me for more wonderful information and a tour!  "Where Life is Worth Living."
